Candidates must have experience working with children with communication challenges, the ability to work collaboratively with a team of providers, skill in using technology for instruction and communication, and capacity to implement academic, self-care, and social support interventions for students. Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum and/or low-incidence disabilities is highly desired.
We are looking for dynamic, creative and caring professionals who are interested in being part of a comprehensive team of student support and instruction. The IS Interventionists work closely with the Special Education Teacher with coaching/support from Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathologists and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This position will require assisting students with personal care and/or medical needs. Successful candidates will have 2 years of experience working with elementary aged children, an Associates degree in a related field, and the ability to use Google platform.
This position will follow the WSESU School Year calendar and is on a 191 day contract at Wage Grade 5 ($22.31 - $28.71 per hour depending on experience).
