This position also provides a valuable stepping stone for those interested in pursuing a career in education.This position works with the Kindergarten grade level team, supporting students and teachers. Candidates will be working inside the classroom as well as small group academic support primarily in literacy and math skills. Wage grade 3, Pay range: $16.31-$23.71 based on experience, 191 days per year, 6.5 hours per day.Responsibilities: Assist the classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans.Collaborate with the teacher to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Support students in developing reading skills through guided literacy activities.Foster a sense of community within the classroom and encourage positive interactions among students.Facilitate and support play-based learning activities outdoors, promoting exploration and engagement with the natural environment.Provide assistance to students in their social, emotional, and academic development, tailoring support to individual needs.Collaborate with the teacher to monitor and assess student progress.identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.Please apply via school spring.
