Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) is looking for motivating, engaging, and diverse educators and encourages all who are interested in diversity, equity and social justice to consider working with us. We are searching for a school psychologist who is passionate about working with young people and helping them to prepare for the future.
WSESU is seeking a School Psychologist to be part of WEST (Windham Evaluation Support Team,) which is responsible for evaluation to determine student eligibility for special education services. The School Psychologist will work with multi-disciplinary teams to administer academic, cognitive, social-emotional, and other relevant assessments. They will provide teams with comprehensive evaluation results that will help to determine special education eligibility and define student learning needs, and support IEP teams to communicate evaluation outcomes with parents/families. Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and positive behavior supports is desired. Preferred applicants will have strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as a deep understanding of Vermont special education regulations and corresponding compliance paperwork. This position will follow the WSESU calendar but may include extended days/compensation for summer work.
Qualified candidates must have Vermont Agency of Education licensure as a School Psychologist (or be eligible for reciprocity).
