What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Service Director position at Windham Terrace Assisted Living?
The Health Services Director is responsible for the professional and the highest quality delivery of health care services. S/he shall provide leadership and supervision to the health services staff and is responsible to hire, train and supervise all nursing staff. S/he will be responsible for the medical needs of the residents and will communicate with family and physicians regarding the health status and service plan of each resident. S/he will understand and establish services in compliance with the local, State and Federal regulations, as well as abide by the policies & procedures, statues and regulations governing the operation of Windham Terrace. S/he will assure that all care is delivered in accordance with these guidelines and that the residents’ rights, dignity and health are provided for at all times. S/he will be responsible for the ongoing assessment of each resident and will provide direct care as needed. S/he shall have primary responsibility for maintaining the department expenses within budgetary guidelines and for the ordering of supplies and materials needed by the department. This will include accountability for the rate of use and cost of these supplies and materials. Other duties assigned by Executive Director
