Role Overview
As the Artist Experience and Booking Coordinator at Windmills, you will play a key role in curating and delivering exceptional music experiences. You will manage the artist booking calendar, research and connect with new talent, and create warm and memorable experiences for every artist who performs at our venue.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Booking and Scheduling
- Create and maintain a comprehensive annual artist booking calendar, ensuring consistent weekly or bi-weekly performances.
- Research and identify emerging and established artists whose work aligns with Windmills’ ethos of authenticity and artistry.
- Negotiate contracts, performance fees, and logistics with artists or their representatives.
- Develop a pipeline of potential talent and stay updated on trends in live music and entertainment.
Artist Hospitality
- Serve as the primary point of contact for artists, ensuring their needs are met from booking to post-performance.
- Manage artist riders, including food, drinks, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate thoughtful touches to enhance the artist’s experience, such as personalized hospitality gestures that reflect Windmills’ commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Provide on-site support during performances to ensure smooth execution and artist satisfaction.
Event Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate performance logistics, including sound checks, stage setup, and promotional material.
- Partner with the marketing team to promote performances through social media, newsletters, and local outreach.
- Ensure performances align with venue expectations and audience preferences.
- Strategic Research and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, managers, and booking agents to secure high-quality talent.
- Continuously explore opportunities to introduce new and diverse genres to Windmills’ audience.
- Gather feedback from artists and audiences to refine booking and hospitality processes.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in music booking, event planning, or hospitality management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
