Responsibilities:
The Intake/Admission Representative is responsible for a variety of duties related to the maintenance and processing of patient’s admissions, inquiry calls, crisis calls and referrals, conducting the intake process including obtaining pre-certifications with insurance companies, referring patients to community resources, and working with patients so they understand their choices for treatment. The Intake/Admission Representative handles inquiry calls for Windmoor Healthcare. The Intake/Admissions Representative also completes the legal paperwork for admission to Windmoor Healthcare – explaining the admission process to patients and obtaining legal signatures, inputs data into the computer and maintains records to ensure compliance with department policies, as well as with Florida Statutes, Joint and HCFA.
Qualifications:
Completion of High School Diploma or its equivalent with three (3) years experience in social services, healthcare or related experience will be considered in lieu of education. Must have two (2) years of experience working in psychiatric setting.
