Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation and be proficient in using various tools and techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential and commercial buildings, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of structures.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace glass in windows, doors, and other fixtures.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting and shaping glass.
- Apply caulking to ensure proper sealing of glass installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Assist with trim carpentry tasks as needed to complement glass installations.
- Conduct construction estimating to determine material needs for projects.
- Shower door installation experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of glass installation techniques and safety practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in glasswork.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required by the job.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
