Window World of Albuquerque is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the purchasing of products and materials essential to our operations. This role ensures all inventory, windows, doors, and associated materials are ordered accurately, cost-effectively, and delivered on time. The Procurement Specialist will collaborate closely with vendors, internal teams, and installation crews to support smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to ensure cost savings and quality standards.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues as they arise.
- Product and Material Ordering:
- Review sales orders, technical measurements, and project specifications to order the correct products and materials.
- Place orders with manufacturers for windows, doors, and other materials in a timely and accurate manner.
- Track and monitor order statuses to ensure timely deliveries.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for frequently used materials and supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize shortages and overstocking.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage storage and inventory organization.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the sales, installation, and operations teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines.
- Communicate order statuses, delays, or discrepancies to the relevant teams.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Update the CRM or inventory management system with relevant procurement details.
- Generate and share reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and vendor performance.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Monitor purchasing costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses.
- Ensure purchases align with the company’s budget and financial objectives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
