Responsibilities
- Install windows according to specifications and building codes.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit.
- Perform drywall work, frame carpentry, and metal stud framing as needed.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproof installations.
- Conduct fixture installation for window treatments and accessories.
- Fabricate and build custom window frames when necessary.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including contractors and subcontractors, to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in drywall installation and repair techniques.
- Experience with frame carpentry, including measuring, cutting, and assembling frames.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing practices.
- Strong caulking skills for sealing windows against air and water infiltration.
- General maintenance person skills with the ability to troubleshoot various installation challenges.
- Experience in cabinet installation is a plus.
- Ability to fabricate custom components as required for unique installations.
- Familiarity with using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, and measuring tapes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
