Job Summary: WindRiver offers a variety of dining experiences, including Citico's restaurant. We are seeking a Lead Server to provide exceptional service to members and guests. This position involves guiding guests through memorable dining experiences, supporting team members, and ensuring the smooth operation of service shifts. The Lead Server will also oversee opening and closing procedures, assist with training, and maintain communication with the back-of-house (BOH) team to deliver an unforgettable guest experience.
Schedule:
This is a part time position, Thursday-Saturday 3pm-10pm, and Sunday 10am-4pm
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services:
- Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests feel welcome and attended to.
- Anticipate guest needs, answer menu questions, and ensure satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Precisely take and enter food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle any complaints with professionalism and ensure that all Members and their guests leave with a positive and satisfactory dining experience.
FOH Leadership:
- Lead the FOH team with a hands-on approach, fostering a positive team environment.
- Support and deliver effective training programs, ensuring all FOH team members are fully trained in all aspects of the restaurant.
Operational Support:
- Maintain clear communication between FOH and BOH teams for seamless operations.
- Accurately complete closing paperwork, including cash handling and end-of-shift reports.
- Assist with inventory management, placing orders for front-of-house supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
Event Support:
- Assist in the setup, service, and teardown of events both on and off location.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure special events run successfully.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in a full-service restaurant, with at least 1 year experience in a leadership role
- Previous fine dining, country club, or hotel banquet experience preferred.
- Current TN ABC license or ability to obtain one.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for exceptional service.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems (experience with JONAS is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to improvise and make decisions based on guest or business needs.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 55 lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday and be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
