The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting WindRiver accounting as assigned by position, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and accounting related customer service areas.
The ideal candidate will be willing to join our growing team and play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is designed to grow into the Controller role at WindRiver, offering a clear pathway for professional growth and leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Involved in all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Prepare and provide financial statements and reports. (monthly and annually.
- Conduct financial analysis, budget forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with corporate CPA to ensure compliance with tax regulations, including payroll tax, state sales tax, federal income tax, and licensing.
- Manage accounting systems and platforms, including Sage Intacct, Jonas Club Software, Bill.com, and Expensify.
- Reconcile financial accounts, including bank, credit card, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable accounts.
- Support accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate, timely processing and vendor validation.
- Ensure accurate processing and coding of invoices/charges via AP platforms; Bill.com and Expensify.
- Maintain financial records for HOAs and sub-associations, preparing detailed reports and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with HR on payroll, benefits, and tax reporting while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Prepare financial documentation for audits and corporate CPA for tax return preparation.
- Perform periodic inventory verification and ensure proper financial reporting standards.
- Ensure timely submission of all required financial and budgetary reports.
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years' experience in accounting (required).
- Bachelor's degree in related field required (required).
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments through continuous attention to industry information.
- Willingness to participate in relevant trade associations and organizations.
- Ability to remain positive in both service and relationships with staff, guests, and Members.
- Excellent skills with the Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Excellent track record of communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Work as a team player with a professional demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 30lbs. Must be comfortable working in an office setting.
