What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative position at Windrose Land Services?
Responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with clients on behalf of the firm and actively prospecting for new accounts and maximizing sales potential with existing clients.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop annual individual/organizational strategic sales plan in coordination with Sales Manager.
- Participate and support the Sales Manager including, but not limited to making presentations, responding for RFPs, preparing proposal, etc.
- Identify and execute new business opportunities resulting with increased sales and revenue.
- Ensure assigned existing business segment growth and service maintaining the targeted retention rate and sales goals.
- Provide sales reports in a timely and accurate manner; assure adherence to CRM procedures.
- Fully adhere to WSLS’s policies, procedures and work directives.
- Resolve internal/external customer issues in a prompt and professional manner.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, managers, clients and other parties as related to the WSLS’s services and overall business.
- Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical and professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/BBA preferred.
- Two (2) years of proven sales/business development experience demonstrating measurable progressive business outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and other job related software/e-technology/cloud based solutions.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for marketing, sales and business development; sales & marketing presentations.
- Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and ensuring business outcomes.
- Able to communicate and respond to questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner ensuring business outcomes; assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player. Must have a relentlessly positive, flexible, do-whatever-it-takes attitude; must be fast on your feet, poised under pressure, and committed to client service
- Ability to balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job, and exceed client expectations.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain appropriate Automobile Insurance.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work is performed in an office, outdoor and various client setting(s) with moderate noise levels. This job frequently requires the employee to stand, walk, use hands, tools, controls, reach with arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; sit; use hands; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 – 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
