This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for patients, particularly those in geriatrics or requiring care in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of patients.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to healthcare professionals.
- Help with mobility and transportation needs within the facility or to appointments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Support healthcare teams in delivering quality care by assisting with basic medical tasks as directed.
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge related to patient care.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience or knowledge in geriatrics, inpatient care, outpatient services, or trauma care settings is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
