Purpose for the Position:
To perform a combination of tasks, which maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with flipping mattresses and move furniture as assigned by Supervisor.
- Assist room attendants in order to maintain high standards of quality.
- Hang draperies as required.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork and furniture.
- Collects soiled linens for laundry and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closets.
- Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
- Refurnishes room with supplies, towels, etc. as required.
- Supplies own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
- May deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll-a-way beds to guest rooms.
- May clean swimming pool.
- May remove debris, clean driveways, and garage areas.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
- Wash walls, windows, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge.
- All other duties assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions; lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
- Flexible availability to work any shift/day, including holidays and weekends.
- Comfortable with using a radio to communicate with the front desk and housekeeping supervisors.
Physical Demands: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10-100 pounds of force occasionally.

- Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Attendance:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Windsor Hospitality from time to time, is essential to be successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance/ tardies will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Windsor Hospitality rules and regulations and will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
