What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDS-Registered Nurse (RN) $5,000 Sign On Bonus position at Windsor Care Center?
Position Summary
The MDS Coordinator oversees the RAI process assuring schedules are follwed, timeliness in completion of the MDS, CAA's and care plans are developed in accordance with the federal and state guidelines. This is a full time position that reports to the administrator of the facility.
Essential Functions and Skills
- Communication skills to work with nursing staff for implementation of care plan
- Oversees care plan meetings with resident and families
- Assures that care plans are kept current and reflective
- Verifies that assessments transmitted to database with necessary corrections
- Education to staff related to ADL's, other areas of MDS as needed.
- Reviews of the MDS for accuracy for any trends that need education
- Monitors documentation of Medicare and Managed Care residents and educate as needed.
- Monitoring of QM with emphasis on those impacting 5 star rating
- Experience in CMI for best outcomes and guidelines for documentation required
- Knowledge of restorative programs and implementation
- Participation in Quality Improvement Program in the facility
- Provide leadership in facility for financial implications of RUGS, PPS, and case mix rates
- Have 2-4 years work experience in MDS and long term care
- Point Click Care Experience preferred
- Willingness to attend seminars to remain current with regulations
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing

Current state license as an RN

Proof of current CPR certification

Compassionate, friendly demeanor

Excellent communication skills
- Have AANAC certification
