If yes, how you will contribute to the team:
The primary purpose of an Administrator in Training (AIT) is to develop the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and direct the day-to-day functions of a facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities. The length of the program is dependent upon state regulations, past work experience and Administrator Preceptor evaluation(s).
Must haves:
- 1-3 years’ experience in long-term care
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to thrive in a complex environment
- Ability to relate to and work with physically and/or mentally ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people professionally and respectfully
- Ability to understand and follow regulations
- Ability to adapt and handle pressure
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
Nice to have:
- Experience in long-term care or related field with supervisory background
- Bachelor's degree specifically in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration (or related field)
