Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Automation Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate with a 2-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Automation and Engineering Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automation systems, troubleshooting, and PLC programming, with a particular focus on Allen-Bradley-Rockwell Controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems and controls.
- Program, test, and modify Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs to optimize system performance.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
- Support the design and implementation of control systems for manufacturing and industrial processes.
- Work closely with senior engineers and technicians to diagnose and resolve system issues.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Document maintenance activities and system modifications.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Automation and Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs (Rockwell), and automation systems.
- Basic understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, and motor controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical automation issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of robotic systems and motion controls.

Physical requirements and working conditions:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
