Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center is recruiting for a Director of Nursing (DNS) who has is able to meet and exceed the following job description expectations:
- Supervising all nursing staff
- Overseeing department budgets
- Maintaining high standards of care for all patients
- Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records
- Communicating with doctors, patients and family members about patient health
- Recruiting, training and onboarding new nursing staff
- Providing ongoing education classes
- Conduct employee evaluations
- Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
- Manage and implement compliance with Federal and State regulations
- Complete plan of corrections and coordinate audits, education and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement plan
- Must have the ability to manage diverse team of staff and work effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements
- The right candidate must be a registered nurse licensed in the state of Connecticut.
- Must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of continuous clinical experience in a Nursing home.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Director of Nursing in a nursing home
- An Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with more than 2 years of Nursing Home Experience is welcome to apply
- Must be familiar with the Department of Public Health Survey process and ensuring ongoing compliance with CMS regulations.
