About the Position
The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams on patients, preparing equipment and materials, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic exams on patients using general and vascular ultrasound equipment
- Prepare equipment and materials for exams, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including exam results and any relevant follow-up information
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination
- Stay current with the latest technology and techniques in general and vascular ultrasound
Requirements
- Current ARDMS certification in two modalities (General and Vascular)
- Experience in general and vascular ultrasound, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
