Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art catheterization lab. A strong understanding of cardiology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques is essential for success in this position.
Job pays $2,741 per week

- The unit comprises 590 beds
- The patient ratio is procedural
- Staff includes unit secretaries and tech availability
- The equipment used includes Merge Charting, GE Fluoro, Phillips and Boston Sci IVUS, FFR, Impella
- The documentation system used is Meditech
- The job requires 40 plus call M-F plus call
- On-call requirements are PRN
- Floating policy is not applicable
- Prior experience in a Cath lab is required
- Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and RCIS or ARRT
- Requested skill set includes Cath Lab experience, TAVR, Watchman, impella, ECMO, Balloon pump
- Procedures performed on the unit include LHC, RHC, Watchman, TAVR, Impella, ECMO, Balloon pump
- Dress code requires surgical scrubs
- Unit guidelines and policies are to be attached
- Awards and recognitions are to be included
- Additional information to entice workers is to be considered, such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the catheterization lab for procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning properly.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
- Conduct imaging studies using radiology or sonography techniques to assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to procedures performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and aseptic techniques to minimize infection risks.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in both Level I and Level II Trauma Center environments.
Requirements
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and cardiology is essential.
- Experience with radiology and sonography techniques preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patients.
- Certification as a Cath Lab Technician or relevant credentials preferred.
- Previous experience in a cath lab or similar clinical setting is advantageous.
