**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Windsor Run, a beautiful 60-acre continuing care retirement community in Matthews, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, a commitment to teamwork and leadership, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train culinary and utility staff, overseeing all culinary functions in the chef's absence.
- Manage daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals.
- Direct the preparation and service of all menu items, adhering to recipes, proper food handling, and food safety guidelines.
- Oversee the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years full-service experience required.
- Minimum 6 months supervisory and coaching experience required.
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays.
- Capacity to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
