Job Description
As an Infection Control Nurse you will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance. You will make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures and analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the DON. You will prepare summaries of all resident/personnel infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission. You'll be meet with staff, residents and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed. You will be responsible to treat everyone with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity. We expect our nurses will model a positive and professional image that represents Windsor's missions and values.
Required (Must have):
- California RN or LVN license
- CPR or BLS
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time
- Compassion toward residents and their families
Preferred:
- Previous infection control experience
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Current valid CPR certification
- Experience with PCC
