Working with our Lead Cooks andFood Service Director, our food service team serves both breakfast and lunch in coordination with theNational School Lunch Program (NSLP).
Job duties would include, but not be limited to; food preparation,customer service, stocking and organizing, and cleaning and sanitation in accordance with the rules andregulations associated with the NSLP. Our Food Service Workers are an essential component of ourschool meal programs and help support our mission to provide students and faculty with fresh, seasonal,and sustainably grown produce and products.Summary: A Food Service Worker performs routine food service tasks in preparation of, during and after foodservice under general supervision or instructions in a food production and/or customer service area.Qualifications: High school diplomaSpecific Duties: Participate in basic food preparation including, but not limited to; salad bar items, baked goods,soups, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. Stocking shelves and displays, receiving and properly organizing orders in correct storage areas. Providing exceptional customer service to students and faculty with a focus on quality, accurateportion control, consistency, and positivity.During service services customers with the highestfocus on quality, accurately operationally set portion size and providing excellent customerservice.

Ensures all supplies, materials, and equipment are available in assigned work areas for properperformance of duties; maintains replenishment as necessary; prepares supplies and materialsas required; reports equipment malfunctions. Work with the Lead Cook to complete production records and prep lists in accordance withcompany policies. Assist with executing daily prep procedures.
When assigned to a Point of Service station, accurately process customer orders and follow propercash handling procedures while providing friendly, professional, and timely customer service. Adhere to company policies/procedures and safe work practices and guidelines.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Cross train and provide coverage when needed on various kitchen and cafe stations. Take part in training as requested by the company. Assist in the preparation of catering orders and events.
Assist with special projects and assignments related to the successful running of the diningprogram as needed.
