Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities through effective maintenance practices. This role requires a strong understanding of facilities maintenance, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. The Maintenance Technician will work on a variety of tasks, including repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs at assigned apartment community.
- Respond to resident requests for service and maintenance.
- Complete necessary tasks for vacant apartment turnover.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
- Work with logic controllers to ensure proper functionality of automated systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs or installations.
- Assist in residential painting projects as needed, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and promoting best practices in maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Experience working with logic controllers is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components as required for repairs or modifications.
- Leadership qualities that promote teamwork and collaboration within the maintenance department.
- Experience in residential painting is an advantage but not mandatory.
