As a Mid Level ServiceNow Developer you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation. Works with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.
Primary Responsibilities
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
- Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
- Create, modify, and test the code, forms, and script that allow computer applications to run.
- Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals.
- May assist software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software solutions.
- May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a US Citizenship.
- Hold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security )
- Must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- Must be able to commute to Omaha, NE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, Additional experience may be excepted in lieu of degree.
- At least 6 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure.
- At least 4 years of ServiceNow development.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
- The qualified candidate shall have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
- Ability to multi-task and self-assign work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership. Candidate shall have the ability to develop and present management level briefings.
- Demonstrate potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology.
- Open to receiving mentoring from senior developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology
- Experience with JIRA, Git and Confluence.
- Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
- AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
- Experience working with large software systems including hardware integration and test.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams.
- Experience using SAFe as the agile development methodology.
- Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application
- Experience applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the team.
- Experience using Kanban to improve flow on support teams.
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation.
