What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Care PRTF Program Manager position at Windwood Family Services?
Responsible for providing oversight and guidance for the day-to-day operations of the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility; managing and developing professional staff; assuring high quality care that effectively drives positive residential care outcomes according to established in-house protocols and expectations.
Provides leadership and oversight to staff who provide therapeutic interventions that promote optimum
outcomes for safety, well-being, and permanency.
Champions a culture of collaboration and open communications across the organization’s multi-disciplinary treatment departments including the direct care staff in the program served.
Develops and implements weekly accountability mechanisms to ensure effective care for every youth and family.
Participates in IDT to address changes in programming that are needed in order to secure a positive prognosis post discharge. Identifies critical stressors that are negatively affecting the client's mental status.
Rigorously audits residential care scheduling and practices, usage of approved interventions, and resident protocols for effectiveness or lack thereof.
Spends no less than 60% ( 3 days) of weekly work schedule directly working on the floor interacting with staff and residents in their living environment or during daily activities.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining
employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Reviews weekly random sampling of surveillance videos in the residences and school setting with the
Behavioral Health and Training Intervention Manager and Floor Supervisors; collects data on resident behaviors exhibited and on interventions used that increases escalation in disruptive behaviors.
Problem solves disruptive or aggressive behaviors displayed by program residents with management team to improve interventions used.
Reviews critical incidents and information gained during de-briefing; discusses crisis preventions
interventions utilized. Discusses alternate scenarios with Behavioral Health Training and Intervention Manager.
