What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baseball Analytics Internship position at Windy City ThunderBolts?
The Windy City ThunderBolts are a professional minor league baseball team in the Frontier League located in Crestwood, Illinois and are looking for interns to contribute to the team's analytics reports during the 2025 season. Analytics interns will be expected to be available for 15-20 games during the season with some additional work performed from home.

- Operating TrackMan during home games
- Create reports based on collected data to be used by players and coaches
- Work with other analytics interns to create easy-to-digest evaluations of data
- Review game film to create scouting packages of opposing teams
- Interns will serve on a rotational basis to focus on batting, pitching and fielding data
Required Skills
- A strong understanding of baseball, particularly in the area of pitch recognition
- Understanding of typical baseball data structures
- Knowledge of current baseball research, statistics, and strategy
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a high stress environment
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel preferred
- Ability to work nights and weekends
