Sales Representative — Wine for the World Serendipity Imports

Wine for the World and Serendipity Imports are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated sales professional to join our growing joint sales team in New York. This is a unique opportunity to represent two distinct yet complementary portfolios — and to build on an established base of accounts from day one. We’re looking for someone with direct-to-retail and on-premise wine sales experience, ideally at the distributor level (but not required). If you’re enthusiastic about wine, hungry to grow your territory, and driven to support producers with a meaningful story — we want to hear from you.
ABOUT US
Wine for the World is a New York–based importer and distributor championing responsible growers. We highlight winemakers with a positive impact on their communities and the environment — especially from the Southern Hemisphere (South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil), and select growers in Spain, Greece, and Canada.
Serendipity Imports represents well established estates such as, Roberto Veorzio, Marchesi Incisa, Nals Margreid, La Rasina, & Castelvecchi. Our book focuses on imported wines with concentration in Italy and will continue to expand offerings both within Italy and expansion to other regions, France, Spain and others.
Together, we bring a curated, values-driven, and highly respected collaborative offering to the New York market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and maintain strong relationships with on- and off-premise accounts
• Manage and grow an existing book of business while actively opening new accounts
• Present and sell wines from both portfolios with knowledge, authenticity, and enthusiasm
• Conduct in-store tastings and staff trainings as needed
• Use internal tools to manage orders, review inventory, and track account history
• Set and meet regular sales goals with autonomy and accountability
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous wine sales or distributor experience preferred
• Solid foundation of wine knowledge (regions, varieties, producers)
• Excellent communication skills — you're a natural storyteller and listener
• Comfortable lifting 40–50 lbs and being on the go every day
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and a reliable team player
• Proficient with digital tools for managing customer data and orders
