Key Responsibilities:
Write engaging and persuasive copy for a variety of platforms, including digital (website, social media, email campaigns), print (brochures, newsletters, reports), and other marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop creative content for campaigns that align with organizational priorities and messaging.
- Support fundraising efforts by writing compelling donor appeals, grant proposals, and other donor-focused materials.
- Edit and proofread copy for clarity, grammar, style, and consistency with brand voice and tone.
- Conduct research on relevant topics, target audiences, and trends to ensure content is accurate and resonates with the community.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., program managers, team leaders. etc.) to develop messaging that highlights the impact of our work and key initiatives.
- Ensure all copy is optimized for digital platforms, including SEO best practices for web content.
- Assist with the development and execution of social media content, working with the team to increase engagement and promote our mission.
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all written materials, ensuring the message reflects our core values and mission.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within the non-profit sector or with mission-driven organizations.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong command of grammar, tone, and style.
- Ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive content for different formats and audiences.
- Experience with storytelling techniques to highlight the impact of the organization’s work.
- Experience writing for various digital platforms (web, social media, email) as well as print materials.
- Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and act on feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Knowledge of AP Style or other writing guidelines.
- Familiarity with graphic design concepts, with the ability to collaborate with designers to create cohesive content.
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising, donor communications, and grant writing is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DOCUMENTATION, AND SAFETY
Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment; the employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, and at times may be required to lift 25 pounds and can be exposed to indoor, outdoor temperatures and various living situations. Must be able to operate motorized vehicles with a valid license.- Required domestic and international travel documentation and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries may be necessary to perform this role - This role may be in high-risk zones and require documentation and medical clearance by various governments to enter disaster areas with significant public health risks.

- This position will involve a combination of office-based tasks and fieldwork. Occasional travel may be required to visit communities and attend meetings or events.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate community outreach or program deadlines.
