JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Graphic Designer to join Wine To Water’s creative team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of impactful visuals that communicate our organization’s message to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, have a strong eye for detail, and be able to work collaboratively with other team members to produce high-quality designs for both print and digital platforms.
Overview:
Wine To Water (WTW) is seeking a skilled and creative Graphic Designer to support our marketing and communications efforts on a contractual basis. This role will operate under a monthly retainer agreement, with an expected commitment of approximately 30 hours per week. The contractor will collaborate with the team to create compelling visual content across digital and print platforms, ensuring brand consistency and effective storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling visual designs for a variety of mediums, including social media graphics, marketing materials, newsletters, brochures, webpages, event collateral, and other promotional assets.
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure design aligns with the organization’s messaging, goals, and brand identity.
Develop and maintain templates and design systems to ensure consistency across all marketing and communication materials.
Participate in brainstorming and creative sessions to develop new ideas and innovative design solutions.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
Edit and update existing design assets as needed to reflect current campaigns and organizational priorities.
Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and techniques to bring fresh ideas to the table and maintain modern design standards.
Assist with any other design-related tasks as needed by the team.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven environment.
Proficiency in design softwares, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work across print and digital platforms.
Experience designing for web and social media, including knowledge of digital file formats and web standards.
Strong understanding of design principles such as typography, color theory, and layout.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Passion for the mission and values of WTW and a desire to use your design skills to make a positive impact in the community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with nonprofit organizations or on projects that involve social impact.
Familiarity with website design, UX/UI principles, and web development processes.
Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing software is a plus.
Experience with email marketing design and content management systems (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Klaviyo, WordPress) is a bonus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DOCUMENTATION, AND SAFETY
Contractor Responsibilities:
The contractor is responsible for their own workspace, equipment, and any necessary software to fulfill the role.
If travel is required for WTW-related work, it must be pre-approved, and reimbursement policies will be outlined in the contractor agreement.
While performing work on behalf of WTW, the contractor agrees to follow all applicable safety guidelines and policies when working in designated environments (e.g., events, field sites).
