Detailer/Lot Attendant/Porter

Job Summary:

Winegardner GMC is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Detailer/Lot Attendant/Porter to join our team. This position is responsible for ensuring vehicles are cleaned and presentable, maintaining the dealership lot and showroom, assisting with vehicle movement, and performing general facility upkeep, including snow removal. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and take pride in keeping our dealership looking its best.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Detailing:

• Wash, wax, and polish vehicle exteriors and interiors to showroom standards.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets, clean upholstery, and wipe down dashboards.
• Apply protective coatings and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Inspect vehicles post-service to ensure cleanliness.
• Maintain detailing supplies and equipment.

Lot Attendant Duties:

• Keep the dealership lot organized and vehicles parked neatly for display.
• Assist in vehicle staging for customer viewings and events.
• Ensure all vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained for customer readiness.
• Conduct regular inspections of lot inventory and report any issues.
• Clear snow and debris from lot vehicles and walkways during winter months.

Porter Responsibilities:

• Transport vehicles to and from service areas, dealership departments, and customer locations.
• Assist with moving vehicles for customer pick-ups, test drives, and service appointments.
• Maintain vehicle fuel levels and check for general readiness.
• Ensure safe and careful handling of customer and dealership vehicles.
• Provide assistance to service advisors and sales teams when required.

Showroom & Facility Maintenance:

• Clean and maintain showroom floors, windows, and general areas to uphold dealership standards.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, and vehicle lots as needed.
• Perform light janitorial duties, such as emptying trash and tidying customer areas.
• Keep service bays and workspaces clean and organized.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including snow and extreme temperatures.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow removal duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
