Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of rafts through meticulous inspections, measurements, and document checks. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with quality standards and ensuring the reliability of rafts for use in various applications.
STRUCTURE
The Quality Inspector typically reports to the Quality Team Lead and/or Director of Quality. They may work closely with other quality assurance staff and production teams to ensure consistent quality standards are met.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Inspecting leaks testing in rafts to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations.
- Checking travelers’ documents to verify adherence to specifications and requirements.
- Placing rafts in the air hold for storage or transportation, following proper procedures and protocols.
- Conducting measurements of rafts to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Performing visual inspections of rafts for any defects, damages, or irregularities.
- Conducting drawing inspections to ensure that rafts are manufactured according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Educational requirements: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience requirements: Previous experience in quality inspection or related field preferred.
- Behavioral competencies: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and protocols meticulously, good communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered.

- Knowledge Requirements:
- Demonstrate understanding of quality assurance principles and techniques.
- Apply familiarity with leak testing methods and measurement tools in inspections.
