Overview

Our Bartender plays a crucial supporting role in the successful execution of the bar and order-taking experience at the Wing Shacks, which focuses on our hospitality and people-focused hospitality.

This role is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar. You will also prevent Customer Stampede by ensuring that customers receive amazing service and that customers’ needs and expectations are exceeded. This role requires a blend of organizational skills, creativity, and a customer-focused attitude. All employees are expected to uphold the standards set by Centennial Hospitality Group (CHG)’s values for Quality, Service, Value, Pride, Positive Energy, and Development.

Essential Job Functions

  • Planning and Coordination:
  • Assist in the development of event concepts, themes, and timelines for guests planning on using our venue.
  • Ensure our pre-planned party packages are ideal for the guest experience.
  • Help create and manage event budgets with the guests and General Manager.
  • Maintain detailed event documentation, including checklists, calendars, and timelines.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing ability to proactively anticipate user experience outcomes and take action to plan in advance to mitigate challenges.
  • Assist with guest list management and RSVPs for event space bookings.
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve processes for event planning and booking- consistently growing our venue bookings based on the goals set in front of the position.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Communicate with any outside vendors (bakeries, decor companies, etc) to obtain quotes and coordinate services.
  • Assist in negotiating vendor contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services.
  • Coordinate vendor setup and breakdown on event day.
  • Logistics and On-Site Support:
  • Assist with event setup, including decorations, seating arrangements, and equipment placement.
  • Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Manage event supplies and inventory.
  • Assist with guest registration and check-in.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that may arise during the event.
  • Make recommendations for event efficiencies, redundancies, and potential event collaboration.
  • Works closely with guests, General Manager, Operational Manager, Community Partners (as needed), and any other stake holders to understand planning, timeline, staffing and production needs for events.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Manage event-related correspondence and communication.
  • Maintain accurate event records and files.
  • Process invoices and payments.
  • Assist with post-event follow-up, including thank-you notes and feedback collection.
  • Call previous customers to rebook events and request feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Bartending Experience
  • SafeServ certified

Education, Experience, and Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • 1 years bartender experience
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and with a team
  • Demonstrated experience with event logistics coordination and managing event budgets
  • Attention to detail and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Proven success as a collaborator and relationship builder, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collations and collaborative relationships with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups, including senior executives, to achieve results
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy, discretion, and collaboration in working with community partners, guests, employees, and our leadership team
  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Appropriate transportation plan to attend shifts as scheduled according to the provided availability
  • Able to perform all essential job functions as detailed in the job description and training materials.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and Walking:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking are essential. Expect employees to be on their feet for extended shifts.
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lifting and Carrying:
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy weights. This includes trays of food, dishes, supplies, and potentially cases of beverages or ingredients.
  • Specify weight limits (e.g., "Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally").
  • Bending and Stooping:
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching are required for tasks like retrieving items, cleaning, and serving.
  • Hand and Arm Dexterity:
  • Fine motor skills are necessary for handling utensils, preparing food, and operating equipment.
  • Ability to grasp, grip, and manipulate objects.
  • Reaching:
  • Reaching above shoulders, and reaching low to the ground.
  • Environmental Tolerance:
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot kitchens and cold storage areas.
  • Tolerance for exposure to cleaning chemicals and food allergens.
  • Ability to work in noisy environments.

  • Servers:
  • Balancing trays of food and beverages.
  • Navigating crowded dining areas.
  • Kitchen Staff (Cooks, Dishwashers, etc.):
  • Operating kitchen equipment.
  • Working in a hot environment.
  • Working near and with grease frying food.
  • Handling sharp utensils.
  • For dishwashers, prolonged exposure to hot water and cleaning chemicals.
  • Bartenders:
  • Mixing and pouring drinks.
  • Standing for long periods behind the bar.
  • Hosts/Hostesses:
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move tables and chairs.
