About the Role :
Wing is looking for a Senior Security Software Engineer to join our Information Security team. This role is based in Palo Alto, California . The ideal candidate has a passion for all things security and drone technology. Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices and ability to work with business and development teams to continuously improve the organization's security posture as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.
As a Senior Security Engineer at Wing, you will manage a wide range of security priorities, deadlines and deliverables. You will continuously assess our system and then design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance security solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of Wing's systems from issue identification to resolution. This includes conducting technical security assessments and code reviews to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. You will also develop production-ready code to enhance security measures and provide expertise to design reviews and project teams. Additionally, you will oversee third-party penetration testing engagements, ensuring they are appropriately scoped, completed on time, and fully documented to meet Wing's needs.
What You'll Do :
- Identify, quantify and / or mitigate security risk by :
- Assessing the security risks of Wing's products, systems and services and communicating them to stakeholders across the organization including non-technical, engineering and executive audiences.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of and ensure compliance with evolving cybersecurity and data privacy regulations within the aviation industry globally
- Independently execute gap analysis to assess the organization's current security posture against new requirements and threats
- Driving mitigation / remediation efforts in a collaborative manner with cross-functional teams
- Develop security processes by :
- Designing and implementing security processes for the team on security related issues
- Contributing to the development and test of end-to-end features and bug fixes
- Operate and Maintain Wing's Security Systems by :
- Operating and maintaining security systems, analyze and respond to threats, or execute information security procedures including tasks that are not covered by existing guidelines
- Manage complex and / or long-lived operational security tasks that may be ambiguous in nature
- Identify and implement changes to tools or processes that meaningfully improve the operational and security efficiency for Wing
What You'll Need :
