JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Nonexempt
- SUMMARY:
Supports all production processes and facility equipment.
Primary duties include preventative maintenance, machine troubleshooting and project support. Perform Preventative Maintenance and other Maintenance Assignments on time. Complete task and associated paperwork on time with attention to detail.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Routinely inspects and maintains manufacturing and installed systems including but not limited to machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, drains, shop, and grounds.
· Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
· Assists with the installation and modification of manufacturing equipment systems.
· Creates and maintains up-to-date service and replacement data files for manufacturing equipment and machinery.
· Acts as agent for procurement of service contracts/repair work; assists with purchase of many facility fixtures and equipment.
· Communicates need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment to appropriate manager.
· Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
· Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
· Inspects manufacturing equipment and grounds for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
· Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
· Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
· Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
· Prepares required reports and correspondence.
· Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
· Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
· 3 years experience in a maintenance position
· Strong Electrical Experience.
· Strong Welding Experience, all types. Certification preferred.
· Basic knowledge of PLC operations.
· Ability to read mechanical drawings.
· Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and industrial maintenance.
· Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather.

- PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

- WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· A large percentage of time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cold in the winter and hot in the summer and noise levels are moderate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
