Laundry Attendant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our laundry services, contributing to an excellent guest experience in our hotel environment.

Duties

• Operate washing machines and dryers to launder linens and garments efficiently.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before and after laundering; treat stains as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
• Ensure proper inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
• Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
• Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel laundry or dry cleaning environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
