We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at the Wingate Greensboro Coliseum. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the hotel. This individual will help maintain high guest satisfaction levels, manage staff, and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning and high-quality service.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and ensure all guests receive exceptional service. Resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Staff Management: Supervise hotel staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
- Financial Oversight: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring financial performance to ensure profitability. Track expenses and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Sales and Marketing: Support sales efforts to maximize revenue, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR). Assist with implementing marketing strategies and promotions.
- Compliance: Ensure the hotel is in compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the property.
- Reporting: Prepare and review reports for the General Manager, providing analysis and recommendations for improving performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Education & Experience
- degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in hotel management or a related field.
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Occasional travel may be required for training or conferences.
