Overview
Our Wingate by Wyndham hotel is seeking dependable and friendly Breakfast Attendants to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in keeping the breakfast area clean, stocked, and welcoming. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in the hospitality industry.
We are seeking two individuals - full time 5 days a week, and part time 2 days a week. Hours are Monday-Friday mornings 7 am to 12 pm, Saturday-Sunday 7 am to 1 pm. Occasionally maybe one hour earlier or later depending on guest occupancy and how busy breakfast is.
Duties
- Setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet: This includes ensuring all items are readily available and appealingly displayed.
- Welcoming guests and providing personalized service: Greeting guests with a smile and assisting with any questions or requests.
- Restocking and replenishing the buffet: Keeping food and beverage items fully stocked throughout the breakfast service.
- Clearing and cleaning tables: Removing used plates, glasses, and cutlery, and wiping down tables as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the breakfast area, as well as doing the dishes at end of day.
- Assisting with other tasks: Helping with laundry, public area cleaning, etc.
- Following health and safety regulations: Adhering to food handling procedures and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food handling and or customer service is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
