PURPOSE: In complete dependence on the Holy Spirit, build and develop lifetime relationships with friends of WM, leading to the raising of money to fully fund the implementation of the Great Purpose Campaign and worldwide ministry of WM.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
70%: Donors/ Foundations/ Churches
- Personally develop, cultivate and maintain relationships to solicit funding among a -group of high-capacity individuals, foundations and churches.
- Manage a case load of 75-95 donor families with in person visits: 25 individuals/annual visit, 35 individuals/twice annual visits, 30 individuals/4-5 visits annually.
- Cultivate new donors in your assigned region.
- Participate in semiannual phone calls to assigned list.
- Provide reports on all contacts with provided forms.
- Prepare, develop and write grant requests to assigned foundations.
- Assist in funding efforts for various Wingfield Ministries events.
20 %: Ministry Focus (i.e. Victory Weekend, Lodestar Guidance, and International Ministry)
- Develop systems to ensure that donors are receiving regular reports that communicate the fruitfulness of their gifts to WM.
- Facilitate donor visits to WM events with focus on securing and maintaining funding relationships.
10%: Other
- Assist and support other Wingfield Ministry events and activities as assigned.
- Support, promote and recruit participants for all Wingfield events.
Working Conditions: Position requires frequent travel with 35% of time dedicated to face-to-face meetings with key Wingfield Ministries friends and donors.
Development Experience and Education:
- Capable of producing fund-raising results with up to 5 years of experience preferred.
- Past career pattern demonstrating stability and a track record of consistent professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong demonstrated leadership skills.
- Effective people skills with a wide variety of individuals
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Christian, and in agreement with the Wingfield Ministries statement of faith.
2. Personal integrity, honesty, and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
3. Experienced in development and fundraising.
4. Able to enthusiastically share with others the blessings of financially supporting God's work.
5. Committed to evangelism and believes in the effectiveness of mass evangelism.
6. Strong leadership skills; participative leadership style; experience working with diverse personalities and responsibilities.
7. Professional in appearance and demeanor.
8. Effective communications skills, both verbally and in writing, to include some public speaking skills, congeniality and persuasiveness in one-on-one and small group settings.
9. Past career pattern of stability and purpose.
10. Willing and able to travel up to 35% of the time.
11. Biblically knowledgeable and theologically informed; well informed about trends and significant events in Christian missions, and the evangelical community.
12. Self-confident, while maintaining reliance upon God and a team spirit.
