We’re seeking an Advanced WordPress Developer who can bring design files to life with clean, custom code—and also navigate, customize, and optimize popular WordPress themes when the project calls for it.
This role is ideal for someone who’s fluent in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a sharp eye for design fidelity and a deep understanding of WordPress architecture. You should be equally comfortable building from scratch using PSD files and fine-tuning themes like Avada, Divi, and others for performance, functionality, and aesthetics.
Responsibilities:
- Build fully custom WordPress websites from PSD files
- Customize and configure premium WordPress themes based on project requirements
- Develop custom templates, functions, post types, and integrations using PHP and ACF
- Ensure all builds are responsive, fast-loading, and SEO-optimized
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve plugin conflicts, theme issues, or front-end bugs
- Work collaboratively with designers, marketers, and project managers
Requirements:
- 4 years of WordPress development experience
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and MySQL
- Proven experience converting PSD designs into pixel-perfect WordPress sites
- Deep familiarity with customizing popular themes (Divi, Avada, etc.)
- Strong experience with ACF, Gutenberg, and custom post types
- Understanding of mobile-first development and responsive design best practices
- Knowledge of performance optimization and technical SEO
Nice to Have:
- WooCommerce development experience
- Familiarity with Elementor, or other page builders
- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards
