Position Summary: The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to oversee the operations of the restaurant ensuring brand standards are maintained and continually improved in all areas of operation, including product preparation and presentation, guest experience, inventory management, recruiting, training and retention of team members and financial accountability.
This position is responsible for working with the General Manager to ensure the successful day-to-day management of the restaurant. The AGM is responsible for teaching, training, and leading Team Members. Must present a professional image at all times. Must coach, counsel, and develop Team Members to maximize sales and profitability, control expenses, meet budgetary constraints, handle guest complaints, and ensure sanitation, safety, and food quality. The incumbent is responsible for growing sales, achieving restaurant EBITDA, meeting budget, and creating a culture of accountability within their restaurant.

Essential Functions
Human Resources and Leadership
- Ability to inspire and motivate others.

- Fosters collaboration and teamwork within the team.
- Staffs, trains, and develops hourly team members through ongoing feedback and coaching,
- Directly supervises team members, correcting behaviors as needed and providing recognition to continuously improve performance.
- Prepares schedules and ensures that their department is staffed for all shifts.
- Acts as a role model and demonstrate professional behavior to team as well as to customers.
- Trains Team Members in product quality, customer service and operational systems execution.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures and comply with all state, local and federal regulations.
- Maintains open communication with team, vendors and BW&R support team.
- Maintains financial ownership for restaurant through increased sales, short- and long-term plans, and P&L statements.
- Assists General Manager in reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making recommendations to hire Hourly employees.
Operations
- Assists General Manager in all areas of operations including marketing and human resources, while ensuring the Company’s standards of quality, service, and operations are maintained. Maintains accurate HR records. Maintains budget and associate records, prepare payroll.
- Manages inventory efficiently, accurately, and in a cost-effective manner.
- Maintains accountability for the success of the restaurant by making key decisions and executing problem solving skills.
- Manages profit & loss by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, and reviewing financial reports.
- Research and Development oversight.
- Opportunity to train new Franchisees and to support new store openings.
Marketing
- Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing plans.
Other
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to analyze issues and problem solve.
- Successfully integrate any new products smoothly into system, train staff properly on use/preparation on any such objects.
- Ensure company standards on equipment, facility and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Microsoft Office
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Shift Lead or Asst. General Manager in a Full-Service restaurant.
- Must be 21 years old
- High School Diploma or High School equivalency required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
