Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of the FP&A process including annual and long-range planning, forecasting, and will focus on The Credit Unions profitability modeling and analysis. Builds trusted partnerships with credit union leaders providing insights and recommendations to drive financial decision making to support our strategic initiatives and core values.
Essential Functions:
- Use sound financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses meeting regulatory requirements, that are scalable and auditable, to provide recommendations that deliver results and drive efficiencies.
- Analyze, interpret and provide financial outlook and forecasting recommendations to business partners to support operational growth, strategic initiatives, and business decisions, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary.
- Identify economic, financial, and industry trends and analyze interest margin to develop the loan growth, deposit growth, and product rate forecast.
- Build collaborative relationships with credit union leaders and the finance, accounting, and treasury teams.
- Subject matter expert for Financial Planning team and senior stakeholders with the ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve complex requests and issues.
- Primary resource to perform cost-benefit analysis for strategic initiatives and high priority projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities and apply creativity in generating solutions to resolve problems and improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business processes that increase operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Execute analysis of channel, product, and member profitability, providing recommendations on significant business and product decisions and educate organizational leaders.
- Perform ad hoc financial modeling, analysis, and reporting to provide insight into strategic initiatives and economic changes and possibilities.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the data warehouse structure to effectively troubleshoot financial planning systems reconciling issues to ensure data integrity.
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
- Lead Financial Planning team resource for mergers and acquisitions.
- Produce, validate, analyze, and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual budget, forecast, and profitability results.
- Responsible for producing assigned sections of the quarterly regulatory reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or equivalent work experience or combination or education/experience required.
- 5 or more years’ experience with financial planning, financial analysis, profitability, discounted cash flows, net present value, fixed income investments, and/or financial accounting required.
- Advanced knowledge/skills in financial analysis.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel/Power Point and FP&A systems; proficient with database querying software and languages such as: SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Management Studio, and Crystal Reports.
- FP&A, treasury, quantitative analysis and/or ALM modeling experience preferred.
- Profitability modeling and net interest margin experience nice to have preferred.
- Financial services industry experience preferred.
- Axiom software for financial industries experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions while achieving results.
- Self-driven with strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage stakeholder expectations.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay Range: $94k-$125k plus 15% annual target bonus. The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
