A little about WINGS
Wings for Kids (WINGS) believes in a world where there is equity in academics, opportunity, and emotional well-being for all children, regardless of socioeconomic status.
For more than 27 years, WINGS has been equipping kids with the life skills to succeed in school, stay in school, and thrive in life through high-quality, top-notch afterschool programming. We’re one-of-a-kind and those who work well at WINGS are one-of-a-kind, too.
A lot about your new job
- Elementary school students need a place to just be kids, reconnect with their peers, and better understand themselves and their emotions. You and your team will create an environment that’s welcoming, safe, supportive, and engaging.
- Igniting a spark within every kid and creating memories to last a lifetime isn’t just a part of the job - it’s your purpose. You’ll create and lead activities, evaluate student progress, and celebrate achievement and milestones - together.
- Kids really look up to their mentors. Your commitment to show up everyday matters - and the kids you work with will be bonded to you and your co-workers.
- Kids deserve the opportunity to explore, grow, and believe in themselves - especially in our post-pandemic world. You’ll have the chance to grow your emotional intelligence (we will help) to show kids how to explore, get curious, grow, and believe in themselves - like you do!
- Being a kid can be hard. Sometimes emotions get the best of them. WINGS Leaders will guide, support, and navigate all behaviors while encouraging kids to become the best version of themselves.
