Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Coach to assist and support a Lead Coach in recreational preschool and school-aged gymnastics classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics, cheer or dance and experience working with students of various ages and skill levels. Candidates must enjoy working with young children, have patience, enthusiasm, share our love for our sport, and is ready to learn and teach while fostering a positive, safe learning environment. We are looking for a few more coaches to round out our team. It's a fun job with a highly motivated coach team. It's a great job for students or anyone with other commitments who miss being in the gym!
Locations & Hours
- Gymnastics classes in Midtown, U of M Area & East Memphis
- Afternoon Shifts beginning 2:30-3:00 pm, ending 5:30-7:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Assist in coaching gymnastics techniques and routines to students of various skill levels.
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Ensuring the safety of all participants.
- Collaborate with other coaches to execute training curricula and run class schedule on time.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized gym environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong background in gymnastics, cheer or dance is required.
- Experience working with students in a coaching or educational capacity is preferred.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively guide student interactions.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate students and engage with parents.
- A passion for promoting health, fitness, and the overall development of young athletes.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
