What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Events position at Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services?
Job Description:
This Volunteer will agree to have their name placed on a list for one year to be notified of opportunities to assist Wings of Hope with special community and outreach events. Examples of these events are: Fundraising Gala, Child Abuse Awareness Month, Denim Day, and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Volunteers will be notified at least one week prior to the event.
Duties may include: Assisting with set up for the event, breaking down and cleaning up after an event, speaking with members of the community about Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services.
Qualifications:
- Two hours of online, self-paced training must be completed prior to event participation, in addition to a pre-event meeting with the Volunteer Coordinator, if necessary.
- Participation in at least one event a year is required to stay on the events list.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instruction a plus.
Hours:
Pre-arranged by Volunteer Coordinator for events.
