Wings of Shelter Int'l, Inc. (Florida) is a Christian, non-profit agency, designed for the long-term rehabilitation, within their Safe Houses, of female minors rescued from child trafficking located in Florida.
Job Title: Weekend Overnight Caregivers for Wings of Shelter Safe House
Duty Time: Thursday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 7:00 p.m.
Job Purpose:
To keep clients/girls cared for and safe; and hear their emotional needs and ensure that their actions are kept under the rules/policies of Wings of Shelter group home. To help the girls, in the home, to feel loved and respected, as well as conduct normal household duties. This is a job that needs to have “the heart and calling” for this type of ministry. The goal is to help them to establish more and more social reintegration and acceptable behaviors. To help them plan for their future and assist them in preparing to advance (transition) into young adulthood.
Job Duties:
- Provide a nurturing environment for the clients/girls.
- Talk with the clients/girls, entertaining the clients/girls such as bike rides, beach,
mall or taking a walk around the neighborhood
- Transport girls to activities and any various appointments they may have
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the clients/girls
- Keep the group home clean per DCF requirements
- Monitoring the clients/girls within the rules/policies of Wings of Shelter
- Write a Daily Report at the end of each shift
- Attend mandatory weekly Case Management meetings
- Attend Church on Sunday with the clients/girls
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of required background screenings
- Successful completion of required 24-Hour and 21-Hour pre-service training
