Job Summary
The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of store shifts, delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales performance, and upholding brand excellence standards. In the absence of the manager, this key team member assumes leadership responsibility to drive great guest service and execute operating policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead team members on shifts, assigning tasks as needed, providing feedback and training
- Utilize deployment charts to optimize team positioning, adhering to personnel policies, labor laws, and safety procedures
- Execute security protocols (safe procedures, open/close procedures)
- Deliver outstanding customer service
- Resolve guest complaints/issues
- Lead team members during shift transitions (opening, closing)
- Manage line operations, delegating duties to team members
- Maintain product quality standards
- Work on the line as needed
- Promote sales through suggestive selling and knowledge of in-store promotions
- Implement and support food safety requirements
- Control shift expenses, labor, waste, and cash handling
- Count drawers and adhere to daily cash handling procedures
- Complete required e-learning modules
