YOUR IMPACT
Wingstop is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Engineering Manager within our Digital / eCommerce space to lead development team building solutions that focus on performance, usability, scalability, and standards for our Digital / eCommerce platform. You will play a key role in translating business objectives into technical plans, monitoring system performance, and driving improvements that contribute to both user satisfaction and business success. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in growing and mentoring your team, attracting top engineering talent, and ensuring that our systems remain at the forefront of industry standards.
- Manage a team of software engineers, including providing guidance on their career progression, planning, and continually challenging them to raise the bar.
- Be accountable for delivery, deployment, maintenance, monitoring the performance of the application and the platform.
- Strategically planning and prioritizing the backlog, assigning tasks to team members, tracking project execution and mitigating any observed risks
- Communicate with stakeholders, product owners, other technologists, and users to create software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities.
- Guiding the team in design, architecture, implementation, validation, and monitoring, leveraging your experience to identify potential pitfalls and set coding standards.
- Actively participating in code reviews to help the team deliver robust, maintainable, and high-quality software.
- Ensure that your team maintains a high bar for quality and follows established engineering and operational guidelines.
- Participate in future product direction, drive technology strategy and execution.
- Create a backlog of Tech Debts / Features, suggesting areas of improvement and ensuring short-term decisions don't build into long-term problems.
- Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity and promotes a sense of belonging and respect. Prioritizing, delegating, and supervising all engineering activities and deliverables, providing strategic technical input and solutions when needed.
- Managing the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of engineering talent to build and maintain a skilled team. Conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and facilitating career development plans for team members.
- Manage technology roadmaps, drive innovation by leading POC’s, and driving adoption of AI / ML based solutions.
