WHAT WE’LL NEED
We are excited about the opportunity the Senior Communications Manager will have to impact the Wingstop business. The experienced candidate will lead our corporate storytelling efforts, focusing on driving high-impact stories that increase the reputation of the Wingstop business around the world. The experienced Senior Communications Manager will also serve as the day-to-day lead for the Internal Communications team, helping to bring structure and strategy to function.
The ideal candidate will have notable experience on : Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Crisis Communications, Storytelling, Narrative Development, and Executive Communications.
This role will work in highly collaborative environment, partnering with Brand, Media, PR, Consumer Comms, Events, Legal, and other internal stakeholders. In addition, this role will lead a Corporate Communications team of 1-3 team members, as the team grows in the future.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
An entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative nature are crucial to this role. These tools are necessary keys to unlock success at Wingstop where you'll be expected to take initiative, anticipate the needs of the media and the marketing team, and proactively identify opportunities to promote the Wingstop brand.
In this role, you will :
- Analyze trends in the ever-changing media landscape. Keep a close eye on the media landscape and share thoughts on how Wingstop can up our game by establishing new editor relationships, jumping on trend jacking and developing pitch ideas, to name a few.
- Execute corporate communications strategies. Help plot the corporate communications strategy and compile briefing materials for the next big interview for our bench of spokespeople. Review content for conferences and speaking opportunities. Dig into media inquiries, providing a perspective on business impact.
- Amplify brand campaigns. Collaborate with the marketing team and cross functional partners to amplify campaigns and brand stories. Write press releases and pitches and develop press kits. Execute media and influencer events for priority moments.
- Support crisis communications. Support through fast-moving crisis scenarios, engaging the right members of the team and crafting strategic messaging for external audiences.
- Develop international storytelling. Meet with our international teams and brand partners to understand what’s on the horizon as they scale. Craft media strategies to tell their stories and infuse into our holistic Wingstop PR strategy.
- Oversee thought leadership strategies. Alongside the internal communications vertical, review award materials to ensure we have the most compelling case to win by pooling information from across the organization.
- Serve as the day-to-day internal communications lead to ensure messaging consistency and 360-degree strategies, the social media team to forge maximum shared impact, and act as a thought partner for any facet of the business that will benefit from messaging support. Ability to move at the speed of culture in an agile and collaborative way of working.
