WHAT WE’LL NEED
The Supply Planner, Poultry will be responsible for overseeing demand, capacity, and supply planning to ensure continuity of poultry, food, and packaging supplies for all 2,000 locations in North America supported by 19 distribution centers in the U.LS and more than 30 supply locations. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in Supply Demand Planning, Forecasting, Inventory Management Optimization and Supplier Management.
Support category managers in planning and executing supply strategies for new product testing and national rollouts by creating demand analysis tools and aggregating demand forecasts.
- Translate the first 12- to 18-month forecasting process and model for 5 core poultry items, representing 60% of Wingstop’s $1B annual spend, working closely with Wingstop business insights and business planning groups.
- Cross-train procurement and program management teams, as well as distributors and suppliers, to utilize demand outlook to drive capacity analysis and production strategies.
- Define the S&OP cadence with weekly meetings with brand partners to review key actions and monthly executive reviews to inform leadership of critical issues and planning decisions.
- Optimize inventory monitoring and enable more accurate capacity analysis and planning by creating a days-in-inventory (DII) monitoring tool.
- Engage program management team to develop category experts that are integrated with supply chain team and suppliers in monitoring, planning, and crisis management.
- Ensure flawless supply execution by co-authoring execution plans across 30 supplier locations.
- Develop timelines, authorize / monitor production schedules, and adjust for regional / national demand deviations from forecast.
- Ensure resilient risk management and supply chain continuity through promotional activities and product recalls.
- Introduce standardized benchmarking, supply modeling tools, and cost models, which give marketers unprecedented visibility into margins and food costs.
- Provide data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and lead initiatives to decrease cost of sales
- Combat annual commodity inflation by leading quarterly Steering Committee meetings with marketing, ops, and franchisee leadership—as well as summits with suppliers, team members, and others—to align all stakeholders around the margin improvement agenda in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Instrumental in creating business case, interviewing potential partners, and designing and implementing ERP digital fulfillment and supply chain solution for Wingstop.
- 5 years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement of Food / Commodity category preferred, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or equivalent work experience required
- Six SIGMA, MBA are preferred certifications.
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), foodservice, Indirect, commodity management, or restaurant industry experience
- Systems proficiency with ERP, Power BI and intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate at a high level across multiple functions.

- Working knowledge in the effective implementation of material management tools.
- Basic understanding of best-in-class processes such as : Sourcing, Contracting, Risk Mgmt., Category Mgmt., Reporting, Data Analytics, and Supplier Integration.
